The Unselfish Journey

Courage in Clinical Practice

October 27, 2017 - 9:30am to 12pm

Clinical work, especially the kinds that delve into the realms of the unconscious, takes courage. No clinician embarks on the therapeutic journey with another person without knowing that somewhere, somehow, impasses will be reached, anxieties will be experienced, and confusion will abound. In some cases, you may even wonder why you do this line of work in the first place. These clinical moments, which are key to the work being life-changing, will require courage.

What is courage? From where does it emerge? How can we get more of it? How can we nurture it?

This course is for clinicians. By the end, you will be better equipped to face the fears which inevitably emerge in this line of work.
